    POSITION AVAILABLE FOR THE 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Monitor and continuously improve the implementation fidelity of the PLC across the school by providing consultation and professional development as necessary.
    • Work with staff and teaching and learning specialists to develop and continuously improve assessment maps and common formative and summative assessments for the state benchmarks that have been designated as district priority.
    • Assist the building administration in developing and sustaining a high-functioning, tiered system of intervention based on the philosophies and practices within our MTSS framework
    • Work with teachers, departments and teaching and learning specialists to incorporate effective, research-based intervention strategies within the tiered system and monitor implementation fidelity through screening and progress monitoring tools.
    • Participate in and serve as a resource to the MTSS teams.
    • Model the use of effective instructional strategies and plan professional development as indicated.
    • Work with teaching and learning specialists to ensure that curriculum and other instructional materials used in the classroom are aligned to the priority benchmarks and consistent with district decisions about the use of select curricular materials.
    • Analyze assessment data to assist administration and support staff in students' programmatic placement.
    • Work with other instructional coaches and teaching and learning specialists to continuously improve personal knowledge about high-functioning PLCs, common assessments, MTSS, Equity, and the interface between academic and behavioral intervention plans.
    • Assist school administration when communicating with parents and other community members about PLC and MTSS and the benefits to students.
    • Attend all district-level instructional coaches meetings and training.
    • Other duties as related to PLC, common assessments and MTSS
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Current Minnesota teaching license; at least five years of successful teaching experience; Master's degree and additional certification/coursework in reading or math preferred.
    • Advanced preparation/training for implementing high-functioning PLCs, assessments and RtI.
    • Experience interpreting and using student assessment data for instructional planning.
    • Knowledge and experience with a standards-based delivery model.
    • Willingness to participate in extensive training throughout the school year.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of the culturally responsive teacher.
    • Demonstrated success planning and implementing large-scale professional development sessions.
    • Demonstrated commitment to help support teams to be successful.
